One of the world’s most famous names in Port is also a respected name in cigars. Medium in body, this refined, cabinet-selection brand debuted in 1962 and was re-introduced in its current blend in 1991. All Fonseca cigars are hand-made under strict supervision of master cigar blender Manuel Quesada to ensure superior quality in each cigar. The cigars are produced in Manuel Quesada’s MATASA cigar factory located in Santiago, Dominican Republic. It is blended from the choicest tobaccos, perfectly aged in palm tercios, grown in the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic. The cigars are available in two wrappers, the outstanding Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade (natural) or Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro leaf. The Fonseca brand is the only Cuban cigar brand that offers all of its cigars wrapped in extremely delicat, almost transparent paper. The Triangular shape of the cigar is one of the hardest to make and offers a rich flavor, concentrated by its conical shape. The Fonseca brand is considered to exhibit a rich but mild flavor. The mild quality gives beginners a chance to exercise their palate with a Cuban. Fonsecas come in many lengths and thicknesses and a wide variety of styles that provide the perfect smoke for any occasion.
